Screenshots of 1.2.1

DianHua Dictionary 1.2.1 is just about ready to go.  Here are a few screenshots to whet your appetite.

There are  a few things to note in these screenshots as the changes may not be readily obvious.

  1. Cí Diǎn now shows up in the search for dictionary.  English search algorithms have been improved slighty.
  2. All fonts are configured through settings.  Fonts for each line in the dictionary entry can be specified separately.
  3. Touching an entry will bring up a more complete dictionary entry page with English definitions divided one per line.
  4. Chinese searches now typically yield a more accurate result in the initial position but still do a less exact search than Pinyin and English.

The screenshots from v1.2.1 look good, but take a look at the screenshot from
the definition page; the entries for simplified(词典)and traditional
characters is reversed. Hoping you fixed that in the release that went to
Apple!

:-)

谢谢。

...for the feedback. I was worried initially that my CC-CEDICT upgrade had gone
awry without me noticing, but in fact, the label names on the fields were just
transposed. I'll see what I can do to take care of it.

Hi !

First off, congratulations for designing this application, I've been
dreaming about this adaptation of the CC-CEDICT for a long time, back when I had
by jailbroken iPhone V1.

One thing I find VERY annoying, is the fact that we're
not able to look for something using "ni hao" instead of "ni3
hao3" ... Will this be fixed in a next release of your application ? Kind

For v1.2 or v1.2.1, you can simulate a toneless search by entering:

ni_
hao_

In the upcoming beta, I've made some performance improvements to Pinyin
searching that will break that work-around, but I plan to implement proper
toneless Pinyin searching instead.

Thanks for the feedback.
